Texas Regional Art Gallery Exhibition

On Sunday The Texas Regional Art Gallery hosted the opening of a Painting and Photography exhibition by Annabel Cleeve (painting) and Dee Barden (photography). Over 100 guests celebrated the opening with champagne and lunch. We went for a drive across to join in the celebrations with Dee and take some photos.

Dee is an emerging photographer. Her photography is an abstract view of her natural surroundings with amazing images of rock formations, scrub, trees and even pebbles. This girl is going places!

Here is Dee and Annabel, in front of Annabel’s acrylic works. This exhibition is of acrylics and sketches inspired by her farming surroundings, and explores the idea of farmer’s as artists in the paddock.

What a great day out was had by all. Texas Art Gallery is an amazing public space that sadly Goondiwindi has been crying out for, for far too long.  The consolation is that we have the opportunity to drive over to Texas for a great day out, with some warm, beautiful, creative, clever people. Till next time. Nat
